Birds of Prey is a world class Alpine Skiing venue in Beaver Creek, Colorado. Designed in 1999 for the World Championships, it offers some of the steepest pitches and biggest jumps on the World Cup circuit, and is ranked number one by competitors. It is the only World Cup stop in the United States, and has become one of the world’s premiere ski events.
Second only to the Olympics, the World Championship represents the largest roster of the top ski racing talent in the world. The week long event features Men’s Alpine Super G, Downhill and Giant Slalom competitions.
FIS is the governing body for skiing and snowboarding, comprising 133 National Ski Associations. It sets the rules for international competition, and manages all the Olympic skiing disciplines.
